2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 NIV But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. Moses struggled with anger; Peter with fear; Thomas with doubt; Cain with envy; David with lust; Jonah with depression; Abraham with patience and Gideon with low self-esteem. And still they were used by GOD.

What makes us believe that we will not be used by Him due to our struggles? Yet, just as these Bible greats had strengths that we can learn from, we must remember that they had weaknesses that we can learn from, too. Whether it is sin, slowness of speech, fear, anger, depression, or something else, it is encouraging to remember that prophets have had similar struggles as we do. None of these men would have been as inspiring as they were without their weaknesses and the ways in which God helped them overcome them. I encourage you: don’t shut God out because you are convinced He cannot use you. Make a decision today to surrender your struggles to God and let Him challenge you to new level. Have a blessed day and may the peace of the Lord be with you, as your turn your weaknesses over to Him so He can use you.
